DOT 75th Year Independence Day Celebration : Kunigal Government School.

At School Camps
Each and Every Indian heart is patriotic to witness and celebrate the 75th Independence day, While freedom is a gift and we should neither take it for granted nor be wasted. We the riders from Demons on Throttle started our Independence Day celebration journey from Bangalore Nelamangala toll around 6:50 A.M and continued towards Kunigal spotting few fields and lakes through the ride, reached the Government school at Kunigal around 8:10 A.M. We assumed to be spectators but realized that we were invited as the Chief Guest for the program when the Headmaster of the school welcomed us with a deep tone and Indian style of “Namaste.

We 9 of us from the DOT team remained nostalgic about our old school days, when we saw the students standing in height order very disciplined based on the class wise and the PT teacher was instructing commands. The school ground was decorated with rangoli, photos of our freedom fighters were kept on another side with flowers and our national flag was tied to flag post ready to be hoisted. One of the teachers welcomed us with her  warm words and pleasant smile and each one of us were greeted with red frangrant rose which gave us the real feeling of a chief guest.

Ms.Vishwala- Hoist the flag

Ms.Vishwala, our lady rider was the privileged one to hoist the flag which was a very proud moment for DOT group and she spoke few words addressing the children about how she was inspired from her school days to ride the bike and her dream came true with much efforts. We all sang the National Anthem with pride, along with Vande Matharam and Jhanda Unchhaa flag song ongoing was the March past after this,

Ms.Nancy, addressed the students by emphasizing on “There is no hindrance to come up in life” Everything is possible in life by quoting the example of our great scientist and president Dr.Abdul Kalam sir who studied in a government school and the best minds are in the government schools. She also asked the student to be grateful in life, especially to their teachers and ended saying “Freedom is priceless”.

Later, Pramukh and Gokul addressed the students and spoke about how to be balanced by focusing on studies as well as to enjoy the childhood days.

School Staff

The school headmaster continued the speech by taking us back to the history of our freedom fighters and importance of Independence of our country, two students spoke about “Father of our Nation” and “Freedom” in Kannada and English, respectively. Followed by the prize distribution to the students who had participated and won in different activities conducted during last week as a significance of our 75th year Independence Day celebration. The two angels who were born on this special day were wished on their birthday.

The entire staff was very jovial and with full spirit one of the teachers gave the valedictory speech and we the DOT team was so joyful to witness the whole event. The school authorities had arranged appetizing breakfast we relished the same. Clicked few pics together as a team with the staff and students.
